Dr. Vagdevi Meunier offers a holistic psychological practice that emphasizes body, mind, and spirit as the three facets of an individual’s mental health. Through the use of talk therapy, mindfulness, education, and non-medical interventions, individual therapy with Dr. Meunier can offer you substantial relief from your distress and challenges. If you are struggling with depression or anxiety and want to avoid being on medications for a long period, a holistic perspective may be of value to you.
Dr. Vagdevi Meunier’s primary specialty is in couples counseling and therapy. If you are in a relationship that is on the brink of separation, has been challenged by conflict, or has been devastated by betrayal and abuse, couples counseling can help you and your partner overcome these difficulties and build a strong lasting happiness with each other. I have seen hundreds of couples over the past ten years who had struggled alone for many years before asking for professional help. Don’t wait to begin the journey towards positive intimacy, effortless conflict management, and collaborative teamwork as a couple.
Holistic Mental Health is an emerging perspective in counseling that emphasizes a whole person approach to understanding psychological distress. It integrates western treatment with alternative or complementary health approaches. Depression is not just a mental state. It can affect a person’s physical, emotional, career, social, and spiritual functioning and a holistic perspective provides specific targeted techniques and strategies to help the client improve their health in spheres of life.
Effective couples therapy is not realistic in a traditional therapy model of 50 minutes once a week. At my clinical practice, I prefer to see couples for longer sessions so that I can do intensive work at the very beginning, giving you and your partner a chance to work through issues more rapidly, cover more ground in one meeting, and see results in a short time. Intensive couples therapy can last any where from 4 hours to 4 days (of 6-8 hours per day) and many couples who have experienced this form of therapy have found they don’t have to wait weeks or months to begin to see a shift in the trajectory of their relationship.
